Up for auction is a stock Ducati 996S Tricolore. The legendary 996 SPS will not quit the scene, but has evolved into the 996S which fills the vacant space between the standard 996 and the 996R powerlevels. The motorcycle was recently serviced, with belts and four desmo rockers replaced. The other four had no signs of flaking common with desmo engines. At that time the clutch was replaced with a billet clutch basket, and new friction plates were installed by Nichols Manufacturing, a noted Ducati specialist shop in Millpitas, CA. The paint and carbon fiber are all factory stock. The mirrors have been painted to match the body. This bike is a rocket on road, with handling typical of Ohlins suspensions. The motorcycle has been fitted with a Power Commander and dynoed to optimize performance. This California motorcycle was adult owned, and maintained with oil changes every 2500 miles. The track stand shown in the pictures is not included in the sale.
